Edit History
Every step recorded, every moment revisitable
A Lightroom-style history panel lists every edit to the current photo in reverse chronological order. Hover to preview the image at that step, click to jump — changing your mind is a normal part of creating.

Highlights
- —Reverse-chronological list, current step highlighted, import at the bottom
- —Hover any step to preview its image state live, with histogram, waveform and vectorscope switching along; move away to restore
- —Every entry carries a timestamp — hover a moment to see when the edit was made; the import baseline also shows when the photo was imported
- —Click a step to jump straight to it — equal to a chain of undo/redo
- —Each row shows the operation and value change; slider drags merge into one
- —Right-click any step to mark it as a reference point; hold the Compare button or Ctrl+R for a quick comparison
- —Auto-adjust and mask operations get their own named steps
- —Color configuration switches (single or batch) are recorded too — undoable
- —Right-click to discard later steps or rebuild the baseline; merging duplicates covers parameter, crop and mask records
- —Persisted per photo and fully restored on reopen
A browsable history
History is not just an undo stack — it is a timeline you can browse: hover a step and the preview shows the image at that moment in real time, with the histogram, waveform and vectorscope switching to that step's statistics as well, restoring as you move away, making comparisons fast and direct; click to jump, then keep editing from there. Every row shows the operation and its value change (e.g. "Exposure +0.300"), continuous slider drags collapse into a single entry, and the list stays clean and readable.
Reference point & hold-to-compare
Right-click any step and choose Mark as Reference Point to set it as the comparison baseline — the reference point is persisted together with the history, and when none is marked the "Import" initial state is used by default. Then press and hold the Compare button in the toolbar, or hold Ctrl+R (the physical Ctrl key on macOS as well), and the preview plus the histogram, waveform and vectorscope switch to the reference point state; release to return to your current edit instantly. After tuning a batch of parameters, one held glance tells you exactly how far you have come from the starting point.
Tidy and under control
A right-click menu discards everything after a chosen step, or clears the whole history with the current parameters as the new "Import" baseline (confirmed, irreversible). "Merge adjacent duplicates" folds consecutive tweaks of the same parameter into their net change, and adjacent crop records and mask records of the same kind are merged too, keeping the list lean. Panel resets and every kind of auto-adjust (auto tone, auto channel exposure, auto channel contrast, auto white balance) get their own named steps — instantly recognizable when retracing.
Persisted with the photo
History is saved per photo in the roll directory's .settings/ folder and fully restored when the photo is reopened; deleting or moving a photo takes its history along. Together with whole-repository migration, your history travels with your photos — never lost.
